Sylvia's Hiding Place
... a place
of Solace, Refuge, Renewal, and JOY!
I am very happy that
you have found my hiding place tucked away deep in the backwoods of
cyberland. This hiding place will be "under construction" for awhile as
there are so many things that I desire to be able to share with you.
Here, in this Hiding Place, I hope that you will find a quiet place to
read words that uplift you and encourage you, and cause you to think new
thoughts. Here I pray that you will take walks with me along pathways
that will draw us closer to God and His purposes for us, and to come to
KNOW Him in all of His fullness of Grace and Love
(Eph. 3:16-21).
Here, my heart s desire is that, if you have come to this
Hiding Place, and you do not know Jesus as Savior and Lord, that you
will be drawn to Him through cords of love from all that you experience
here... and a hunger will be created in your heart by the Holy Spirit
that will cause you to seek after Him with your whole heart... pursuing
God... not letting Him go... until He is found by you. He promises
that you will find Him... if you seek after Him with your whole heart (Jer.
29:11-13).
Here there will be things to bring you comfort and joy.
Here, there will be music to lift you up and thrill your heart. Here,
there will be Bible devotions and studies of God s word... simple and
matter of factly presented. Here, there will be exhortation for us all
to keep on keeping on running the race that God has put before us!
Here, I pray that you will be refreshed and renewed and more determined
than ever to be all that God desires for you to be...
for we are His workmanship created in
Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained (or planned)
that we should walk in them
(Ephesians 2:10). In Psalms 139, David tells us, as he was inspired to
write by the Holy Spirit, that God knew us even before we were formed in
our mother's womb, that God's thoughts toward us are more in number than
all of the sands of the sea, and that there is no place that we can hide
from God. Nothing can separate us from the Love of God that is in
Christ Jesus (Romans 8:35-39). NOTHING!
This is not a Hiding Place to escape from God... but a
Hiding Place to separate ourselves from the busy-ness of our daily tasks
and draw close to Him... a quiet place to just wait upon Him, a place
where we hide IN HIM for a while and commune. Abba, Father!! Selah.
I will be bringing new treasures to my hiding place
regularly. You are cordially invited to return often. Come when you
want to praise Him. Come when you need encouragement. Come when you
need comfort. Come when you feel tired and need strengthening. Come
when you need to be reminded of the length and the width and the breadth
and the height and the depth of Christ's love for you. Come and pray
with me in this place. Come and share with me all the wonders of His
love for us. Amen.
